In 1978, Joseph Hsu, the founder of FTC, developed a patented bladder molding process that became a pioneering method in carbon fiber and glass fiber sporting goods production.
Off the back of this trailblazing technique, FTC broke into the market and began tennis racquets, golf shafts, ski poles and wind-surfing products.
Fast-forward to the late 1980s, when we implemented filament winding and rolling processes, which enabled us to start producing tube-like products. This allowed us introduce ice hockey sticks in the early 90s.
By 2000, FTC was leading the market in manufacturing composite ice hockey sticks, and by 2006, we began the production of carbon fiber baseball and softball bats.
In 2010, we developed our patented anti-vibration carbon fiber baseball bats, and began producing these bats for leading international brands including Adidas, Reebok and Dudley.
FTC entered into the cycling industry in 2011, when we designed and began production on carbon fiber composite cycling shoe soles.
This eventually led to the development of carbon fiber bicycle rims and components, including frames, handlebars and saddles.
